Artifacts, art, and objects become a thoughtful tribute

At the core of this residence’s design concept are 18 evenly spaced wooden square shelves that act as a canvas for carefully selected artifacts, transforming a wall into an evolving art installation. But even more than just an eye-catching gallery, the installation stands as a thoughtful tribute to the client’s late father, who purchased every artifact displayed.

Inspired by their motif and colors, Oriental rugs from the client’s collection acted as a catalyst for the entire design, not only anchoring the rooms but also introducing an element of mysticism and heritage. Their intricate patterns and muted color palette integrate with the overall concept, creating a blend of tradition and modernity.

Tactile colours

Rich neutrals, vibrant colors

Against a neutral white base, rich orange armchairs inject warmth and vibrancy into the living area. To stimulate the senses, pops of greenery punctuate the interior, introducing a natural touch. Solid wooden square tables, hewn from burl wood with brass detail inlays, act as grounding elements.

Beyond the visual concept, this project is a celebration of sensory experiences. Plush armchairs beckoning to be touched, wooden shelves full of curated objects and artifacts inviting exploration and discovery, and subtle fragrances of greenery freshening the air. It is a home where the contemporary coexists with classical flourishes, and mysticism intertwines with design for a uniquely personal concept.
